Each month, we'll have a special tribute to one specific actor or actress from Shock Treatment. This month's tribute is.....
Sinitta Renet (born Sinitta Malone) played Francine in Shock Treatment. Afterwards, she appeared in the indie comedy "Foreign Body" as the initial love interest of the film's star. After that, she gave up acting to try her hand in singing, just as her mother had done. Her mother, Miquel Brown, had a brief success in the disco era.
Sinitta dropped her last name(s), and made several albums and released several singles.
In 1994, she returned to film in the movie "To Die For" (not the Nicole Kidman flick) which was called "Heaven's A Drag" in the USA. She played an AIDS quilt announcer on a television program shown in the movie.
In 2001, she played herself in the biography-documentary about Madonna's life and career, titled "There's Only One Madonna." It was a made-for-TV documentary that aired in England.
In 1985, she played the role of "Maimiti" in the British stage production "Mutiny!", a musical adaptation of the "Mutiny on the Bounty" story.
Appeared in the original West End production of the musical "Mutiny".
She is also a singer and had four British Top 10 hits between 1986 and 1989 with "So Macho", "Toy Boy", "Cross My Broken Heart" and "Right Back Where We Started From"
