NATION MCKINLEY

Pre Faith Factory (Nylon Greens)
White nurse's cap
Short-sleeved green Olympic broadcloth minidress with diagonal line of 7
large white plastic buttons from right shoulder to front waist.
Mandarin collar with 2 vertical plastic buttons. Sleeves worn cuffed.
Shoulder pads
Zip up the back with a covered (lapped) zipper. The attached belts go over
the sides of the costumes only-not the front, not the back.
About 6 million darts on Nations dress.
Front pockets. Left rounded breast patch pocket with "Dentonvale" in red
script above it.
Wears cotton gloves in "Introduction." Her green skirt has a back kick
pleat.
White leather sneakers (lace-up loafer style). No socks.
Nation is wearing a corset under her green dress, and it is NOT the thing
she is wearing in Lullaby....
White rectangular plastic nametag with black plastic name tape on the
pocket. Also, Nation's nametag reads "MCKINLEY N"
White penlight attached to outside of pocket.
Nation wears an analog watch on her left wrist; white face and leather
strap; silver round case. Analog.
Wears white "button" circular earrings (the size of a quarter) til Dinner,
when they are changed for more highly-domed pearlized white ones.
She wears the white button earrings during the song "Shock Treatment" but
switches back to pearl earrings for "Look What I Did To My ID."
Matching red tubing/silver earpiece stethoscopes tucked into left pocket
when introduced and for ST.
Lullaby
Ricky, Ansalong, Janet, Cosmo, Nation and Bert all wear short white
lightweight flat material (terrycloth?) bathrobes, shawl lapels, with sash
attached in back, cuffed sleeves. "Dentonvale" in red script above the
breast.  Janet wears hers left over right.
Open toed marabou trimmed high-heeled mules.
Boned white teddy, separate cups.
Faith Factory ("Surgical Whites")
The mock turtleneck collars of Nation and Cosmo fasten left over right with
two vertical fabric-covered buttons. Cosmo and Nation wear jackets with
double vents in back, a 2-button front, 2 front patch pockets, and a left
breast pocket with "Sanity" in red script and "FOR TODAY" on the pocket.
They wear white gloves for "Id"

The back zipper is "lapped" (covered with a bit of overlapping fabric (SAME
TERM FOR GREENS)
1-button on collars (not two).

NURSE ANSALONG

Pre Faith Factory (Green Costume)
Short light-green (dull, not shiny) dress worn with wide white belt (hollow
rectangular buckle), one loop to hold buckle.
Very little belt end past buckle; belt end finished with triangular point.
Wears small gray plastic pager on her back right belt. Belt is white patent
leather.
Dress fastens up the front with white dome snaps from waist up.
Cap sleeves, mid-forearm length, with "Dentonvale" written in white
embroidered script on left sleeve cap (arched to follow line of cap). Worn
cuffed very narrowly.
Peter pan collar on greens.
3 pintucks on the bodice on each side of buttons
Ansalong's outfit is a 2 piece, probably with the top attached to the...
Black underwear we see all the time :-) After careful examination, it looks
to me like she is wearing the black teddy under her nurse's outfit. The cup
style matches the black lace-trimmed bits that show under her green outfit,
and explains why her underwear is so tight. This is the easiest for the
actress performing, too-just strip down for Lullabye, then put on the
whites.
White nurse's laceup loafers
No socks
White nurse's cap; ponytail comes through the cap
White dome button earrings (not pearlescent), size of a penny.
White plastic nametag with black plastic nametape worn on left breast
pocket. Nametag reads "ANSALONG"
On pocket: from outside working in: white penlight small white bottle with
red plastic twist-on cap (shaped like a bottle for eye or nose drops) held
in stiff circular horizontal cloth loop on outside of pocket, then two small
empty loops
On right bodice: white watch pin (analog, not digital). Horizontal
rectangular piece with pinback, with rectangular links down to the
watchface. Plain thin gold band ring on 3rd finger of left hand
Red nailpolish
Lullaby
Ricky, Ansalong, Janet, Cosmo, Nation and Bert all wear short white
lightweight bathrobes with sash attached in back. "Dentonvale" in pink
script above the breast.
She wears a black teddy with straps and lace-trimmed cups (wired), her
earrings and hat. She wears a white Dentonvale robe as she watches Janet
spit in the sink.

back with long hanging ends.
Purple blouse, buttons up front with vertical thin pleated neck ruffle.

Rings: Her right ring finger has a big pearl ring, and the right middle
finger sports a big 4-petalled flower with a pearl in the middle.
Marriage Maze
Silver butterfly pin on left lapel.
Gold lamé rectangular purse. Purse is not a clutch; it has a rectangular
metal handle (like a squared-off U) and has a front-closure.
Removed apron and smock; wearing blue sleeveless cardigan with scoop neck,
buttons up, fastened with some sort of chain (visible during replay of "I
got it!")
Happy Homes (Oriental Outfit)
Pink brocade pantsuit-almost sleeveless (cap sleeves, vertical gather up the

Thin pink belt worn over jumpsuit
Rectangular white plastic white nametag on left breast.
Large necklace of colored links (green, purple/pink, blue).
Gold spike-heeled sandals with ankle straps.
DTV ID on left sleeve.
On her left bust is a white rectangular plastic nametag with black nametape
that appears to have a white sticker with smiling toothy lips pasted over
it.
Right arm (wrist to elbow): wide green plastic bangle, 2 thin blue bangles,
1 thin red bangle.
On right wrist, (from nearest wrist to nearest to sleeve): cheap black
plastic digital watch

NOTES ON SIMILAR COSTUMES:

(Thanks to Ruth Fink-Winter)

BRAD MAJORS

Brad's costume changes are relatively easy because he basically only has one outfit, which he adds a straight jacket to half way through the movie.  Here's his list of costume features:  (Thanks to Ruth Fink-Winter for some details and corrections)
White crew-neck T-shirt (undershirt)
White button down long-sleeve shirt with the collar buttoned down.  Shirt has left breast pocket.  Cuffs button (no cuff links).  The 4 buttons on Brad's cuffs are silver metal
Light-blue suit jacket with two buttons on the front
Wedding band on left hand ring finger
Black rim eye glasses
Silver-metal band wristwatch on left wrist
Small, round pin in his jacket lapel, about 1/2 inches in diameter
Blue jeans, average fit, zipper front, dark blue in color (commonly worn in the 80s) - best visible when being dragged through the halls.  Back patch pockets and front jean-style hip pockets.  He wears no belt.
Gray shoes.  His shoes have a separate heel and look like suede.  Laceups.
White socks
Wheelchair (brought in by Ricky)
Straight jacket, pin-striped, with "Property of Dentonvale" on it.  Lines of stitching go all the way around the body.  3 or 4 straps with silver metal D rings on back.
Mouth gag, white in color
Liquid medicine / red pills (provided by other characters)

JANET WEISS

Janet's costume changes are fairly easy, except for a couple, particularly those to and from the "Little Black Dress" she wears.  Perhaps a "stunt" double for Janet will help during scenes like those.  Regardless, here are the items Janet wears. (Again, Ruth Fink-Winter was kind enough to offer us some more details for this character's costume)
START OF MOVIE:
Pink Leisure Suit (Pant and Jacket).  Janet's pink blazer is unlined, with 2 pink plastic buttons vertically on the left side at about waist level.  The jacket hits her at about mid-ass.  No buttons on the pink jacket cuffs.
White purse with white strap (same purse that Macy wears later on)  Purse is definitely patent.
Red "double-heart" pin on her suit jacket
Very light-blue tie
Very light-blue blouse.  Top lapel of blouse is worn over jacket lapels.  Instead of a bottom lapel, the blouse has the long sash ends that tie in front of Janet's neck, looking like a long men's tie.

Red shoulder-to-waist "banner" which ties into a bow at left hip
Red throne to sit on
Red armgloves

FARLEY FLAVORS

Farley essentially has three costume changes, with an odd transition in the middle: the wardrobe mistress puts on his white jacket for a costume change, but in the next scene, the jacket is gone, and the clothes are different.  One must ask why he put it on at all... *THANKS TO RUTH FOR CORRECTIONS*

After careful examination, it looks to me like she is wearing her black teddy under her nurse's outfit.  The cup style matches the black lace-trimmed bits that show under her green outfit, and explains why her underwear is so tight.  This is the easiest for the actress performing, too--just strip down for "Lullaby," then put on the whites.

OSCAR DRILL

BIT BASS PLAYER

GLISH DAVISON (BIT GUITARIST)

BIT DRUMMER

BRENDA DRILL

Brenda has multiple costume changes.  This should be quite a task for the actress who plays her in a shadowcast at your local theater.  *Special thanks to Amy Balot for this costume contribution.
Denton USA
Either blue and white dress, or white shirt under the dress. There are large white lace ruffles at the neck which cover most of the chest area. The white sleeves are puffy, and they have red ribbon laced through them. The skirt part barely covers the hips, and seems to be pink underneath. The dress is fitted tightly around the waist, and has a blue collar visible in the back. This collar is on the outer dress; only a white collar is visible in the front. It doesn't go the whole way around, an inch or two is open at the front. Red ribbon is laced through the front, and their is a small red bow at the neck.
Pink, blue, and white riboon in her hair.  Brenda's are shorter than her hair, and they are tied in a bow at the top.
Blue eyeshadow and a pinkish red lipstick.
There is a red Denton heart on the front of the dress, just above the waist and slightly to the left side.
