Ruby Wax was born Ruby Wachs (pronounced "wax") on April 19, 1953, in Evanston, Illinois, USA.  She's been married 3 times and has 3 children named Marina, Madeline and Max.  Her first husband is unknown (married 1976 through 1980), but her second husband was Trevor Walton, and her third was Ed Bye.  She wrote a play called "Desperately Yours."  She has ventured into film, theater and television.  She has for several years had her own talk show.  Her first film appearance was "Shock Treatment."  For an interesting newpaper article about her, click HERE.  It's pretty much in your face and it also features a cute cartoon drawing of Ruby!
